During my Four Days in September pop-up posts (link to the first of six
here - it's like a six-pack of pop-up!) The sixth and final post
features a CP track gang that happened along on Day One. I profiled the plethora of passenger and freight trains I observed along CN's Kingston Sub over those four days in late September. I like freight cars, so I'm always watchful for the interesting ones in what are becoming increasingly boring single-commodity freight trains comprising lease-fleet cars. I had some success. The cars I've selected are shown in this post; minimally-captioned and shown in chronological order.

Running extra...
If you can, attend a Remembrance Day service on Monday.
Spare a thought for our veterans and those no longer with us who fought for our freedom.

Recently shared by VIA's Chief Commercial Officer Michael Acosta, these are conceptual drawings for VIA's arriving-2035 Long Distance Regional Remote fleet replacement. Like many VIA trains, expect this project to run late!

I thought that crooner was Lionel Richie at first. He's easy like Sunday morning.
Yes! And that train will be rolling All Night Long!
Is that dome concept an actual dome, or just a glass roofed single level car?
Hi Ian,
Never in the history of VIA Rail Canada has one artist's rendering engendered so much speculation from so many railfans about what a proposed order to an unknown manufacturer might actually comprise! And why not? In the absence of any requirements or dream sequences from VIA, we are left to wonder. Some have wondered whether those are steps at the end.
The fact that the Amtrak Superliner design included only Sightseer lounge cars, not any bulbous roof-line dome, should be an indication that the difficulty inherent in such a design is something VIA will not want to bite off nor chew. VIA has had a pretty bad history with unproven technologies so far!
If it does happen, you didn't hear it here first!
Thanks for your comment,
Eric
